Never-the-less, she's going to do her best in getting to the bottom of things. Even if she has to die in order to set things right in the long run.
Cassie Scot: ParaNormal Detective is a wonderful start to a good series. I enjoyed the story immensely. So much so, that I'm a little late in posting up this review because I was so caught up in reading the book itself. Real life got caught along the way so I didn't have a chance to read it till 4:00 a.m. today.
Despite that fact, I must say that this book is a must-read. The twists and turns are numerous. Christine winds them about in such a way that it leaves the reader wondering as to who's causing such mischief in Cassie's life. The tension between her family and Evan made me wonder as to why they don't like him much. While that aspect wasn't quite revealed in this first book, I have a feeling that deliberate loose end will be answered soon enough. I can't wait to read what Christine has in store for these characters soon enough. I'm hooked into this series already!

Cassie Scot ParaNormal Detective (Audible Audio Edition) Christine Amsden Melissa Reizian Frank 2011 Books Reviews
I love my ...but I miss the great authors that I already know I like (I refuse to spend money for high priced book, especially when I can get it for free at the library)...so taking a chance on a new author on an E-Book (for me) is always hit or miss. Some E-books by authors I don't know...I actually really enjoy...some I never even bother finish the book.
This was the 1st Christine Amsden book I have read. I have to admit that I loved her style of writing! It's an easy read...the characters are well developed & I love Cassie Scott as the heroine. I knocked this book out in 2.5 days! I just downloaded the next Cassie Scott book!
It's not all blood & gore, has a touch of romance, & is an easy read...so I recommend it to anyone who wants to just sit back, relax & enjoy a fun book.
I have always enjoy Audiobooks and the narrator Melissa did a fantastic job. she was able to change her voice to fit the different characters in the book. I was immediately sucked into the storyline and I stayed up way past my bedtime to listen to the story. Cassie is the only person in her family who does not possess magical powers and sometimes she feel unworthy and has to prove herself to her family. She has two love interests Braden, who is just like the boy next store and Evan who has magical powers. Evan's family clashes with her family but that does not stop Cassie from interacting with him. The book was well written, entertaining and I cannot wait to read (or listen to) the Next book in the series.

The story is very well written and the narrator does a wonderful job with pace and inflection. I really felt like Cassie was telling me her story and not like I was being read to.
I have completely fallen in love with Cassie and Evan, sorry Braden.
Cassie is a young woman who is in a family loaded with magic and she has non, zero, nadda. Cassie Scot is funny and feels like a Squib from the Harry Potter books. But she is so strong and self assured that she takes this limitation and spins it into being a kick butt detective. And yes she is really good at what she does. She is able to see both sides of the coin so to speak of the magic world and the non magic world. Her unique knowledge of both makes her a valuable asset in solving crimes and mysteries. It is fun to watch her take care of herself in all kinds of magically dangerous situations without any magic, even though all the magical men in her life think she needs protecting LOL. LOVE IT
You will be entertained with magic, humor, and a mystery to solve. I love mystery & suspense, I adore romance, and Paranormal is the bomb! Put them together and you have Cassie Scot PARA Normal Detective.
